Henar Álvarez premieres 'La Chochoctora', her first solo theater show. The Madrid-born comedian, who currently boasts nearly a million followers on Instagram, has seen her popularity skyrocket in recent years.
In a very short time, Henar has gone from writing scripts for others to hosting her own show. Her naturalness, her assertive tone, her commitment to feminism, and her sharp wit are some of the keys to her success, and these qualities are undoubtedly also present in this theater show.
'La Chochoctora' is much more than a stand-up comedy show. Henar Álvarez, in addition to donning the robe of La Chochoctora, her most iconic character, raises her critical voice against the system that oppresses women's sexuality. It's a show full of humor through performance art, her unique versions of songs with original lyrics, and live audience participation.
