LIFE Victoria Barcelona - Melodie and song recital with Montserrat Seró

Montserrat Seró debuts in the Teatre Principal with this piano and voice recital. She is the resident soprano of the ‘Cicle de Lied Victoria de los Ángeles’ (LIFE Victoria Barcelona) this year in an unprecedented collaboration between our foundations.

This time, Seró has the honor of being accompanied onstage by Marc Heredia, one of the most interesting pianists nowadays in Catalonia.

The program of this recital is set in the great aesthetic transition from the end of the nineteenth century to the beginning of the twentieth in Europe, when there is a break with the late Romanticism in search of a new relation with sound, tradition, and expression. Even if the four authors Felip Pedrell, Claude Debussy, Manuel de Falla, and Frederic Mompou do not belong to the same generation, they share the same interest of finding a new musical language and consequently they walk in the same direction. A path that finally belongs to everyone: History. And in this case, History transformed into music.
