Compás Flamenco is a flamenco show directed and starring the Sevillian choreographer and dancer Jesús Cortés, which brings together the strength of Andalusian roots with a contemporary vision of flamenco.

The show is born from the compás as an essential element of the flamenco language. Rhythm, movement, footwork, handclaps, singing, guitar, and percussion come together to create a highly intense stage experience, where music and dance maintain a continuous dialogue.

Jesús Cortés understands flamenco as a way to express what cannot be said with words. Through the body, dance becomes a way to tell stories, convey feelings, and explore different emotional states. The power of the footwork, the precision of the movement, and the expressiveness of the performers build a dramaturgy based on emotion and direct communication with the audience.

Compás Flamenco preserves the essence and authenticity of traditional flamenco while incorporating a contemporary perspective resulting from Jesús Cortés’s artistic journey.
